Plus we are very lucky to have 2 of Ali’s pups taking the show world by storm. Rarities, Arba Champion FoxFire Lord Temujin - Owner D Hull, FoxFire Lady J-lo Multi BIS Pup & JR. BOB Winner of MolosserStock (with Import Competition), Rated Excellent FCI 3 x & Very Promising as a puppy RKF.

Ali’s ability to protect has shown through with her encounters with our local coyote pack. Yet at the same time I can leash her & take her to be surrounded by 30 kids & dogs.
She truly is a great protector. She takes her job of patrolling & hunting our 50 acre farm very seriously, bringing home some catches of the day. We are proud to be owned by her. Payment for her services are love, respect & her favorite treat butter cookies in my lap.
More information about this breed & Ali can be found at www.centralasianshepherd.com, or e-mail Foxfire at foxfirefarms@adelphia.net

Ali’s pedigree reflects the ancient version of working dogs in Central Asia vs. the newer “factory breeds” being created in main stream Russia, Ukraine, & Turkmenistan. True working dogs were required to pass protection, stability tests & basic obedience (OKD- KS) often take from flocks for a days exhibition. In addition the old world tradition of testing the dogs ability to take on WOLF was done 1x a year at Spring gatherings of the nomads which dogs was pitted against dog. These tests were created to insure the strongest dogs were permitted to be breeding a stronger next generation. Note this is 100% different from the direction some types are taken today in Modern Russia. Earning money for big time gamblers is a full time job for some types formed as a modern cultivated breed.
Ancient traditions of testing courage has little or nothing to do with the gambling sport of dog fighting today. Two dogs in battle today does NOT test the dogs ability to PROTECT humans or flock. A dogs cunning, intellect & intelligence is what makes a good protective family oriented Central Asian. The job of a a flock guardian dog is to stay with its flock & to DRIVE the predator away with minimum use of force . Which is often done with bluffing…. Putting on big displays is what a LGD is bred to do and to out smart & out maneuver the predator. Not to charge in GRIP or HOLD onto its enemy.
True aboriginal Central Asian’s should be dog dominant & live in packs with other dogs. They should NOT be dog aggressive which is a result of some breeders modern selection.

Ali puppy; ARBA Rarities Champion, age one year, FoxFire Lord Temujin, owned by D. Hull

We wish NOT to follow in new trends of modern cultivation. Which takes away from the dogs original purpose and abilities. Instead we want to take as much of the old world style dogs & utilize modern acceptable forms of testing & selection of breeding stock to insure a future for this ancient dog. Spay & neuter to substitute natural selection & culling is a start, temperament & health testing is another. With a ultimate goal is to alter as little as possible a group of dogs that were created threw natural selection thousands of years ago to protect man. Thus preserving vs. creating dogs known today as Central Asian Shepherd dogs.
