Present situation: Rare. Under recovery.

Additional info: The preservation work of the Skilos tou Alexandrou is done by K.O.D.E.P. - Kynologikos Omilos Diasosis Hellenikou Pimenikou. The Skilos tou Alexandrou is the dog that accompanied King Alexander the Great in his war campaigns.
