Standard for the Original English Bulldogge

TEMPERAMENT:
Loyal, bold, fearless.

HEIGHT:
Male: 40,6-45,7 cm. (16-18 inches).
Female: 38-40,6 cm. (15-16 inches).

WEIGHT:
Male: 23-32 kg. (50-70 pounds).
Female: 18-23 kg. (40-50 pounds).

COLOUR:
White, white with patches of brindle, black, salmon or fawn/tri colour black, white and tan or brindle.

COAT:
Short and smooth.

HEAD:
Flat and wide with strong jaw. Jaw has a distinctive undershot bite.

EARS:
Rose shaped.

NECK:
Medium length, heavily muscled widening towards the shoulders.

FOREQUARTERS:
Heavy, muscular shoulders with strong straight legs.

BODY:
Heavily muscled with wide chest and strong brisket. Slight downward slope from hindquarter to shoulders.

HINDQUARTERS:
Should be large and muscular, and longer in proportion than the fore legs, so as to make the hindquarters higher than the forequarter.

TAIL:
Docked for health reasons.
