Shir Khan, the brother of Rasaq Qadirie's female Koochee Dog Zuhra.
All pictures at this page can be anlarged.
I pay very much attention to that the dogs keep
their working ability and good character, and are not just bred for size and weight. The Sage Koochee should be very dynamic and agile and able
to carry out its centuries old work.
Lagar, the uncle of Sher Khan & Zuhra.
Bred and shown by Rasaq Qadirie.
It is very important to me that the dogs are pure and true Afghani Sage Koochee, and that they have no blood from
the modern Central Asian Ovtcharka lines.
The young male Ghaleb at 10,5 months.
Imported to Canada from Afghanistan by Rasaq Qadirie.

At right; Ghaleb with sheeps at the age of 5 months.
At left; Khal, the father of Zuhra.
At right; Ghaleb's father, pictured in Afghanistan.
Ghaleb's father that you can find pictured above is a Sage Kooche of mountain type, a so called Djence Sheri (meaning Lion race).
It is important that all sub-types of the Sage Koochee must be preserved for the future, but it is equally important that
the breeders are not "stuck" with only size and type, but that form and functionality is preserved as well.
The Afghani Sage Koochee is a nomad's dog, bred and developed to be a guardian, protector and companion for the nomadic tribes,
and should be able to follow the caravans through rough terrain, in any kind of weather and climate, whether it is through the
deserts with its burning sun or through the cold and snow covered mountains.
